Just wanting to get on your mailing list to find out about further courses. - Great idea!

2Lisa AgnewJune 6, 2011 at 8:53 pm

I would like to see what webinars/seminars/courses are available before signing up. Also, i wonder if could just pay for the topics I'm interested in rather than pay for 25points.

Hi Sue, thanks for the feedback! Just make sure you're on our pre-enrolment list. We're going to open enrolments for our next intake soon.

hey, I have heard the book is fantastic. I would really like to check it out and do the quiz some time. Thanks Sue

This is a wonderful opportunity! Thank you so much! Is it possible to ask questions on the site?

6Nic LucasAugust 4, 2010 at 5:48 am

Hey - a big thanks to everyone for making this a great success. Rob and are excited - to say the least - about all this stuff and with your support we're off to a flying start. There is just over an hour left to take advantage of this offer - so join now and become a part of this online CPD community.

7MelanieAugust 4, 2010 at 3:13 am

Hi Nic and Rob, This IS exciting and well done you guys for putting this together. Any news on whether or not the OCNZ will accept these as valid CPD points?

8NicAugust 3, 2010 at 10:18 am

Hi @Chris - thanks for your comment. While the AOA is still going to maintain it's annual CPD requirement for its members, we are governed by the requirements of the new Osteopathy Board of Australia (OBA) - since the OBA now administers the legislative requirement that osteopaths undertake annual CPD. In that regard, we are still waiting for final details about the requirements of the OBA. It makes sense to wait before making an application to the AOA for CPD approval since the OBA is now the regulatory body we must comply with. Having said all that, and being familiar with international CPD requirements and University curriculum development, we are confident that the CPD we provide will satisfy the highest standards. And it if turns out that a certain module or activity isn't approved, then we will simply modify it for compliance or develop something in it's place to ensure our members receive the CPD points they have signed up to receive from us.

Good work Nic & Rob.. perhaps clarifying AOA recognition of CPD points (ie category and number of points awarded) would minimize potential confusion.

10NicAugust 2, 2010 at 3:41 am

Thanks to all those who have enrolled so far - it's been a great response. It's only making Rob and I more enthusiastic ...

11NicAugust 1, 2010 at 10:13 pm

Hi Wendy - sorry you couldn't get on the other night - we had far more people than we expected - they came in from all over the world despite us promoting only in Australia and New Zealand! We don't have any plans to reduce prices any further - the offer at the moment prices each hour of CPD at less than AUD$25 per hour - which is more than half the normal cost of CPD per hour. We've recently seen CPD advertised at a more typical market rate of AUD$70 per hour. After the launch the price of our CPD will have to go back up to normal prices. The launch price gives all of us a chance to kick start this thing. Oh - and make sure you sign up as a basic member - it's free - and we'll be providing regular scientific updates and insights about osteopathy to all members - free or paid - via our blog.

12Wendy KurtulusAugust 1, 2010 at 9:04 pm

Fantastic idea, but could not get on the other night. Is there any thoughts on discounts for part-time Osteos? Out of reach financially at the moment but I love the concept as I'm out of town and have kids. Keep up the good ideas! (But keep them cheap!)

13RobJuly 30, 2010 at 4:46 am

Hi @Sophie - thanks, it's great to have your feedback...Monday 2 August is the 'reveal' day =)

14SophieJuly 30, 2010 at 3:35 am

Hi guys! Thankyou so much for the Bogduk webinar. Quite possibly the most well-run seminar a lot of us have been a part of! I'm really excited about what else you have to offer and can't wait for the big reveal you have planned. HealthProfessionalCPD.com has a very bright future. Well done!

15RobJuly 29, 2010 at 8:21 pm

@Fiona - glad you enjoyed it! One of our aims with this whole project is getting CPD to people wherever they are...not people to the CPD =) Practitioners in rural settings have really had to make a huge effort to get CPD, so hopefully that might be easier now!

16Fiona NicholsonJuly 28, 2010 at 11:58 pm

Hi Guys, Just wanted to say how much i enjoyed the webinar the other night. As a rural osteopath with a young family, it isn't always easy or practical to get to cities for seminars. To attend an interesting and informative talk in the comfort of my home and get CPD points is awesome! Keep them coming.

17RobJuly 28, 2010 at 6:04 am

Hi @ Luke - glad you enjoyed it...more coming soon!

18Luke RickardsJuly 28, 2010 at 4:53 am

Nic, Rob and Prof. Bogduk, Thanks for the fantastic webinar last night. This is going to be a huge success.

19NicJuly 28, 2010 at 3:40 am

Hey @George - thanks mate. Appreciate the feedback. Lot's of people are asking about the next webinar - we're keeping that under wraps for now - will release details on monday the 2nd August.

20george michaelJuly 27, 2010 at 5:58 am

awesome presentation organised and professional well done and date of next webinar

21NicJuly 27, 2010 at 4:57 am

Hi @Vivienne - you're absolutely right. We didn't have time to talk about cause in that there isn't much objective data for cause. Having spent many hours with Nik, however, I know that he thinks a LOT about cause. I think this is something that Rob and I will cover in a later webinar and online course. So glad you enjoyed it though - and got to experience what we're achieving here.

22NicJuly 27, 2010 at 4:53 am

@Stuart you personify my ultimate online CPD user mate! When I get better at driving the technology I might attempt a that too!

23Stuart HammondJuly 27, 2010 at 4:49 am

At home, 2 out of 3 kids asleep, trackies and ugg boots on, glass of red in hand, learning and getting CPD points in the process. AWESOME idea. Nice timing too now that Masterchef is over.

24vivienneJuly 27, 2010 at 4:48 am

Rob, am speechless (yes it does happen) with admiration for what you have done on behalf of us all. I was dancing around in my seat a bit with the heroic intervention approach which seemed to me to be very little if at all related to our profession. Pain is a symptom (very debilitating for sure) but what about cause?!

25Stuart HammondJuly 26, 2010 at 9:12 am

Hi Nic, Knew you'd be bored with UWS finishing up. Nice to see you've been busy. Great idea! Looking forward to the webinar

26NicJuly 26, 2010 at 12:22 am

Hi @Richard, thanks! To keep up with what we're up to, grab a copy of the handbook and then we'll be able to send you updates. Web 2.0 is all about openness and collaboration, so yes, we're obviously very keen to work with all stakeholders to continue developing a fantastic CPD solution. Cheers!

27NicJuly 26, 2010 at 12:19 am

Hi @Leo. Getting the handbook is easy. On the navigation menu of this site is a link for the free clinical handbook. You just need to go that page and enter your email address and click the link on the confirmation email we send you, and then you'll be able to download the book.

28Richard MoonJuly 25, 2010 at 11:21 pm

Looks like a great venture guys. Can't make the webinar, but looking fwd to hearing about what comes next. Maybe we could X link to our websites and involve OSNZ to facilitate greater progress? Good on you!

29Leo ViolaJuly 25, 2010 at 5:23 am

I'm an osteopath interested in your clinical handbook as a quick reference can you please supply it to me. Thank you

30PeterJuly 23, 2010 at 2:15 am

What a great idea to be able to get some of my CPD points online while at home... so worthwhile. Congratulations. Am looking forward to this.

What treatment protocols would you recommend for spinal stenosis?

34RobJuly 22, 2010 at 8:53 pm

Hi @Lainie Thanks for dropping past - hope you'll make the webinar next week?!

35Wally JohnstonJuly 22, 2010 at 8:46 pm

How do you perceive the difference between the various forms of manual therapy ? (ie. Osteopathic, Physiotherapy, Chiropractic) Is Philosophy/state of mind a factor ?

36ClintonJuly 22, 2010 at 8:23 pm

Awesome work guys. Can't wait for this to get started

37LainieJuly 22, 2010 at 3:35 pm

Well done gents. Useful, and generous. What's not to love?

38NicJuly 21, 2010 at 7:23 pm

Hi @John - great to hear from you and it's our pleasure - frankly we can't help ourselves

39John SmarttJuly 21, 2010 at 4:35 pm

Thank you for doing this.

40RobJuly 21, 2010 at 4:40 am

@Luke ....yes, you can even wear your slippers if you'd like =)

41RobJuly 21, 2010 at 4:35 am

@Keseva Good catch! I'll put my hand up for missing more than a few typos in the book...we're posting up another "cleaner" version overnight.

42NicJuly 21, 2010 at 4:17 am

Hi everyone - thanks for dropping by and leaving a comment. So far, we've had an amazing response - and this just makes us even more enthusiastic about this whole thing. Thanks for pointing out the typo's - in the emails and such - we've spotted quite a few in the book too - ah well, better to launch with typos than not launch at all (would you believe me if I said I'd been having treatment for perfectionism and the treatment was to publish a book with typos ;-)) Stick with us - there are bound to be a few glitches as we roll this out - so the rule is that we're going to mix fun with professionalism.

43Luke RickardsJuly 21, 2010 at 1:13 am

Hi Nic and Rob, So, high quality CPD, at my house, and whenever I've got time? ... I'm with Karen - What a fab idea! I just looked on my bookshelf and I've still got the hard copy of your handbook that I bought at uni. It got me through quite a few exams as I recall. Flicking through, I can see it's time for a refresher.

44KesavaJuly 20, 2010 at 11:49 pm

Hi Nic n Rob, This is just wonderful, thank you guys for such an effort. By the way, the thank you mail confirming the email id has a spelling mistake, it says "anks" for confirming your email address, i think it should be "Thanks" :). My little contribution so everything is just 'perfect'. cheers!

45VinceJuly 20, 2010 at 11:37 pm

Hi Nic, A great concept, very interested in the content that will no doubt be up soon. Thanks Vince

46NicJuly 20, 2010 at 9:15 pm

Thanks @Karen - glad you like it. We've been planning and working on this for ages. The next few weeks are going to be a blast as we roll out a few CPD surprises. Who says CPD can't be fun and convenient!

47KarenJuly 20, 2010 at 12:02 am

The book is great. Very informative. What a fab idea. I'm looking forward to what else you guys have planned for this site
